ABOUT ME

In 2000, the year I moved to London from Manchester, I wore a pair of black Calvin Klein kitten heels that pinched my toes.

I was 22 and they were the only designer shoes I owned.

They took me to the Ham & High newspaper in Hampstead where I worked as a news reporter, pulling in a splash on a local shooting.

Like me and hard news, the shoes didn’t fit, but they marked my first step towards a career in fashion and the media. Numerous glossy magazines, two national newspapers and 14 years later, my footwear is somewhat plentiful.

The colour-block Christian Louboutins I wore to interview Christopher Kane, my first feature for Vogue Australia nine years ago.

The Chanel tweed chain heels sported in Beijing to review the first Prada show outside of Europe for Harper’s BAZAAR Australia.

The French Sole flats that have skipped through travel writing assignments in Europe, the Americas and Asia.

Each an affirming snapshot from my career so far, as well as playthings for my two daughters to find their feet in.

Now, as I embark on a new career as a freelance editor and brand consultant, I can’t wait to find the pair that will take me on my journey.
